Kaitlin's Baptism
Kaitlin, who is 7 years old, was baptised yesterday at the First Baptist Church of Concord with all of her family, including her grandmother, Carole Green, in attendance. Here is one of the more angelic pictures of the event.

Very nice Perry, you should be proud indeed! I will be curious to talk with you about the event, and the emotion of it all for "grandad" - but then again, I think it's "papaw" in your part of the country? best wishes to you and your family, and it's just wonderful you had the opportunity to witness this event.

Thanks for your comments, David. Actually, I'm "Daddy Perry" to my grandchildren in honor of my own grandfather, who was also known as Daddy Perry. He was Walter Perry Nelson, whereas I am William Perry Nelson.

Hi Perry,

Kaitlin certainly looks like you! (and Mike of course) What a happy occasion for you all. Coincidentally (or not), my granddaughter, Michaela Jane, is also seven.

Love, Jane

Jane, thanks for the compliment. I'm pleased to think she looks like me. Those Nelson genes are hard to hide, I guess.

Nice shot, Perry. Q. why were YOU not mentioned? Q. I thought you told me recently that you weren't into religious things anymore and didn't wish to dicuss them.???? Were you being catagorically selective? May we now discuss all facets of religion?

I was not mentioned because this post isn't about me. I was quite pleased to be invited to be a part of this event and to be present to celebrate my granddaughter's baptism.

And, frankly, I'd be much more willing to discuss personal things with someone if I knew who I was talking to than I am with an anonymous stranger who doesn't sign his posts.

What a living, breathing little darling, Perry - I know she must make you fairly burst with grandfatherly pride!

My love to all four of you, including her and her undoubtedly equally proud parents.
